Philippines Report December 2022
PHILIPPINES Report for December 2022.
December was busy. Indeed! December is the fastest, busiest month of the year. But it was also full of Christmas parties and opportunities for our pastors and workers to spend time with each other and their families. As for myself, I was limited to a short visit with my family during the month.
Activities this month.
- We were in HIFBC Banenbeng Sablan, Benguet, to attend the wedding of one of our young adult ladies to a worker who’s helping our church in Camog, Sablan, Benguet.
- On the 22nd of December, we were back again in HIFBC Banenbeng and officiated at the 50th golden wedding anniversary of one of our local chairmen of the board and as well a local pastor who’s holding a cell out-reach group.
- From December 26 to 30, we had a wonderful and fruitful National Youth Fellowship. Lectures were divided according to ages but the same topic and only the strategy of facilitators made the differences in accordance to the comprehension of their hearers. Disciple making Journey or DMJ was their subject that we simplified its manual based on the original manual which we had first attended in manila months ago with our ECC-PH partners. This was so imparted effectively and hoping to be continued on this coming summer youth camp, module 2.
- The last day of National Youth Camp, we baptized 11 young people who had been the fruits of our cell groups of campus ministries in different schools. Indeed! We also had fun and enjoyed being like young people for a short period of time.
Regarding the Christmas gift for pastors you had sent. I presented to them what exactly you intended for that amount during the national youth camp and our GMCT monthly meetings to our pastors and workers. However, they all decided that they will hold it in reserve to pay for our field trip to Sagada Mt Province in February 2023. We concluded that we will be having at least 3 to four days relaxation away form our ministries as our recreational retreat for all the years in our ministerial service. They also extended their appreciation and thanks for your Christmas gifts and unending full support and sincere concern to the work here in Philippine Field.
More to share but I guess that is all for the last month of year 2022. Thank you so much for your unfailing love, full support, prayers, and genuine concern for us on the Philippine Field. To God be all the glory, praises, and thanksgiving. Yes! We will be hoping, praying, and expecting more this new year 2023. Praying also for a great revival in our church’s circles both here and there. God bless with prayers… Brother in Christ, Richard P. Kawi
